it wont affetc ur chinese language but you wont get R6G04 as well, it is not released to any other CDA yet.

u need to first understand what is CDA and firmware. CDA defines what region is ur phone and what firmware it should get while firmware is the OS.
so if u never disturb the CDA, ur phone will continue to get the same regional firmware u're getting now which means u wont lose the chinese support.

but regional firmware is always slower to be released than Generic World as SE release firmware for different region in phases. which came to the interest of changing the CDA to GW version and proceed to get the latest firmware AS SOON AS they are released but u will TIED UP to generic world regional configuration.

in ur case, if you wanted the latest firmware (R6G04) immediately, you will need to change ur CDA into GW then only u will get the R6G04 since they are now only available for GW1 CDA and not other.u will LOST the chinese input because R6G04 is currently only available for GW CDA.

Just wait for the release for ur CDA if u want to keep the chinese support

you first change the CDA, the proceed to SEUS to get that region's firmware.
so let's says that u changed to CDA 95 (singapore APAC), then when u update through SEUS it will load the Singapore firmware.
changing the CDA wont change the firmware. Changing the CDA will tell SEUS which region firmware to load into ur phone on ur update.

once u changed it, the new CDA will stay there until u change it again. so there's no need to repeat the XS++ steps the next time u want to flash the firmware.

i also hardly use the camera.
now it appear white-ish after the chrome came off.

i dropped twice d.
first time is because of the damn SE pouch, i put it inside my pocket and when i coming down from the car, it slide out from the pouch straight to hit the tar road, the phone jumped twice then landed. the edge there scratched

second time fell off my hand but with my pouch on so no damage done

as long as they are wifi-B compatible and not using flash login, P1i will connect seamlessly

i found out tat whenever u online using wifi, but then u switch off wifi first without switching off the application that uses the internet, it will initiate the 3G/GPRS connection. so just be sure that you close the web browser/IM, anything that uses internet first before switching off wifi. other method would be deleting ur network account which will cause u not to able to send MMS etc.

i did put the link to the UIQ wiki there since day 1. i just didn't want to print screen there as the info will always outdated when the wiki is updated.

nope, mine one is still strong.previously it has some sound due to the loose stylus but after i changed it everything is fine.

if you never touched any of the setting, the phone by default will give wifi connection higher priority than 3G/GPRS. When the globe is present in solid color : it means the phone initiated a connection, when it is blinking : it is transmitting/receiving data, when it is half transparent : it is waiting for a connection to initiates.

you can check what connection you are on by clicking on the globe and go into the connection menu. you can also close any of the connections (wifi/3G/GPRS/bluetooth) from there.

i've notice the difference in color too. according to my observation, if we charge the phone when the battery is critically low (which the red flashing lights will kick in) and messages comes it, the indication lights will blink red all the way until you unplug. other than that it should be blinking green

you need to clear those installation files from ur memory stick.
flashing the firmware basically formatted ur phone's memory but not the memory card.
and whenever the phone detected an installation file, it will ask you to install.

privacy SP is a special screen protector that only allow the screen to be viewed directly on top of it. in the other words, other people around you that's watching the screen from other angle will see nothing.

imho my personal calculation of 2nd hand stuff value would be maximum of 70% of the original price if the device is still in perfect condition (except those that are open box just for inspection for a few hours or a day). it is still personal preferences though. put what you think is suitable and meeting ur expecting price of letting go.

there are a few iphone skin floating around if u like, google it.

if K series you feels lag, this phone definitely wont suits you.

just so you know, your Singapore-APAC firmware is one of the slower ones compared to the rest. especially on handwriting recognizing and not to mention their the handwriting is lacking of white borders and all the fonts are fugly without the AA which other firmwares are enjoying.

unless chinese input is a must or else just flash to the other region firmware and use the fonts method to view chinese.

take a snap at a white A4 paper...then upload it to your pc.
due to the resolution restriction, the green tint problem is hardly noticeable on the tiny screen of ur phone

it is posted in first page as well...

this method will only accommodate for one kind of fonts.
thus only one kind allowed at a time.
btw, mind to share the z8 fonts?
