recently bought myself a Galaxy 8600GT 256DDR3, just want to know what's the safe temperature level for it?
currently its temp is around 57c-59c, not notice any lag or freezing yet but hope to cool it down to extend its durability..

it is now using the stock fan, should i change it with better fan? i
f so, which is recommended to get n how much is it cost? also is it easy to D.I.Y?

another thing, right now using iCute PSU only, would i have to get a better PSU to maintain stability or anything?
before this my rig only been using 7300GT, so didnt care much about power requirements...

only small side-fan, put it right beside the fan, but it only decrease 2c-3c off from the card..

well, i didnt say the temperature was a problem, just a bit concerned as i'm still new to the 8600GT, thats why i wanted opinions here about it..

so about the psu though, since it still works well so far, i shouldn't have to replace my iCute psu with something better, right ?

using the black M 100 X model, but took out the included psu & replaced with the standard iCute psu(forgot what's the power rating, around RM100)..

i don't think my casing is small.. getting a bigger casing wouldn't make much sense to me since i have no additional devices in my rig other than standard required hardware..

can't generalize 8 series like that my friend.

8600GT is far from being as hot as 8800GT even on smaller cooler.

8400GS, even lesser.

u can change to 3rd party cooler for ur gc, and 57-59c r normal, mine is 58c at idle, i DIY a fan to blow my gc's heatsink under it, not much effect on temperature but it take shorter time to cool down temperature from load to idle, means from 70c > 58c need shorter time.

not really, depends on how u take care ur casing and how u adjust/add the fan and so on...

not really, if stock heatsink they maybe it will, if 3rd party cooler then it wont
