I have a friend ask me to build a gaming rig for him and im not really sure which part to choose.The budget is 3k.

uhm..that spec is for CPU only...i mean the unit.

but ts friend need monitor and bla bla, i think need to choose amd for lower cost sad.gif

Maybe dual core is a better choice instead of quad core. 19" widescreen instead of 22".

about the proc, its bottleneck if wan to play supreme commander........

my brief spec.. made 1 similar spec accept 8600GT, for my cousin with Rm2.5k budget using Kuching price~

X2 5200+ - RM420
Abit AN52S or Asus M2A-VM - RM250
GeForce 8800GT - RM850
2GB DDR2 667 - RM140
320GB SATA HDD - RM260
DVD Supermulti - RM90
BenQ 19" Wide LCD - RM570

Total - RM2580

Balance of RM420... to buy casing, speaker, and PSU

*based on kuching pricelist~ can get better price at lowyat

Thanks,this one is pretty good.Could you recommend me a good SLi or Crossfire motherboard?It could be good if he want to upgrade GC in the future by adding another GC.

Isnt 2GB RAM is a bit too little for these days?

He just need a CPU with a DVD-RW drive.Monitor and the rest got adi.

I was thinking of getting E6750 for processor since E6850 and Q6600 cost a bomb.
