what you can do is OBSERVE

1. time of day it happens.
2. activity when it happens.
3. how long the computer was one before it happens
4. ambience when it happens (like when it's hot or when it's cold)

try to start ur PC without UPS, and also the soundcard may conflicts with ur drivers onboard and many other reason for it.

ambient too cold not very good for hardware, the hardware will get heat up suddenly when u turn on ur PC and will cause some hardware damage due to expand and contract of hardware.

my friend also got d same prob...always hang after turned on for 10 to 20 min. When sent to shop...no prob at all. I noticed d difference between shop and his house is that shop got air-cond...but his house doesnt. Also...in your case no prob during night. Why? simple...night is always cooler than day. Try check your heat sink fan. Maybe too dirty, faulty or poor contact bet heat sink and proc.
