It will cost around RM2300 (minimum)
actually, more smaller the processor
more cheaper it will be...

more faster doesn't means is should be more expensive
just like Radeon X3670 and X3650
Latest High-End Graphic card with Middle-End Price

Not a big update, the significant jump would be montevina in mid 2008, wait for that. DDR-3 RAM which is more power efficient will be supported.

Montevina platform will be the successor of the current Santa Rosa. Among the highlights featured in this upcoming platform are DDR3 RAM support & WiMAX 802.16. It will be using refreshed Penryn processor with 1066MHz FSB.

Even the Montevina come with 802.16d or 802.16e or whatever it may call when it come.. I dont see this tech give any benefits to us in this Boleh Land (Come-on! even our wired broadband service sux to the max!).

The main benefits we get is:
-Faster DDR3 (Cost a bomb?)
-Bigger FSB (800 -> 1066MHz)
-Larger L2 Cache (4MB -> 6MB)
-HD Boost (Better Video playback?)
-45nm (Better batt life?)

Remember the quotes from Gordon E Moore?
"the number of transistors that can be inexpensively placed on an integrated circuit is increasing exponentially, doubling approximately every two years"
