The unprecedented and continuous escalation of the prices of major raw materials (mainly milk solids, palm oil, coffee and wheat flour) continues to put tremendous pressure on the Group's margins. The price of milk solids has doubled compared to the 2006 average, while the price of coffee beans is about 20% higher than last year. Facing a greater challenge to pursue its sustainable and profitable growth, the Group has put tremendous efforts to achieve additional savings through operational excellence programmes, across its entire value chain. The better quality of sales mix, coupled with the divestiture of Canned Liquid Milk products, have temporarily improved the profit margin before tax at 17.8%. The full impact of the rising input costs will be strongly felt in the last quarter of 2007 as well as in the early months of 2008.

I got no idea either... This shd be good news..

Added on December 7, 2007, 12:52 pmMost probably yesterday jump is too much, correct back to around rm25. Now even after RM5 drop, it still higher than previously stagnant around rm24-25.

@jojoe

i checked GAMUDA past dividend payout record

it seems that they are regularly paying dividend on Jan & April (and sometimes July)

the routine has bee like that since year 2005. so if nothing change, probably we'll be getting our dividend by next month biggrin.gif
