So what's the P&L like

I came across the news yesterday, KLSE is persuading SC or gov to give online transaction exempted from the RM40 minimum commission, but no reply from SC or gov at all. 

Imagine sell HSBC-C1 at 0.005 with 50lots (50 x 100). Total amount of selling = Rm50, minimum commission of Rm40, plus the stamp duty and clearing almost ended nothing already. Worst still if someone sells 40 lots then how? after deduct the minimum commission become -ve already, need to pay the -ve amount?  , ended up paying for selling it?  Biggest joke in the stock market then.     

I forsee people to lose interest in those 'small price' stock as for those below RM0.10 one, you need to buy at least 500-1000 lots (x100) in order to make the commission is affordable. If buying too few quantity in it, you might be paying an effective 5%, if taking account both buy and sell transaction, could be 10% more of commission which make it very hard to earn money from it.

Yeap, it has 1:1 bonus issue in Oct '07.

By the time when you read the news in the papers, it's probably too high for you to enter - it's already got too high to buy now in fact. The coming announcement shall be about the Letter of Award from the government to commence on their Double Tracking project.
