By increasing virtual memory size, izzit getting better game performance or RAM performance?

Game performance. the more high end game the more virtual memory needed to page its data

but you need more ram to utilize your big virtual ram too.

virtual memory is used to support RAM, not RAM support virtual memory. Virtual memory page from your harddisk. the most suitable virtual memory size is 2 - 4Gb, this range is more than enough to handle 99.9% of the games in market.
