There isn't a fixed pricing structure, for materials in general some will cost more than other because some shops take more profit.
You could shop around but then again the price of a can of paint between shops could differ by large sums even if they're in the same area.
For example Puchong I did a quick survey of hardware shops and generally Petaling Hardware is the cheapest for DIY supplies like drill bits, extension cords etc.

Actually its very difficult to list out the price as it depends on loads of variable. Eg:
1) Owner A prefer more quality material whereas owner B restricted by budget. So practically the same work has 2 different pricing.
2) Owner A does major renovation whereas Owner B do minor work. So for same work there will also be pricing different.
vries is correct, too many variables can affect pricing
Just to add most importantly how good are you at bargaining towards getting a better deal...
For my home renovation my aunt and I combined the renovation cost for both our homes into a single quote so we had better bargaining power and leverage.
Our contractor was able to offer us better pricing because he basically saves on transportation cost (both houses are just 1 street apart), saves on garbage collection fees, workers employed is kept low... etc.
edit:
Here is approximately what I've paid for renovations...
