Nope , you're not consider bad owner .
If u did give JimJim a normal dog shampoo and JimJim ok with the dog shampoo you gave then is okay already .

Smell normal is okay and important is they got healthy skin and body , a dog shampoo is good enough is because dog shampoo will didn't bring harm to their skin ,
the smell is preference from owner. That's why, the pet shampoo now got lots of flavor of smell

yea feel the same too ,
as long as the owner can treat own furkid good and the best u have gave it then it's good enough
