That is true. But I still like the shredding appeal of a 24 fret anorexic explorer with a Floyd Rose to boot tongue.gif

Simple...... what do you want to play? Soloing or riffing?
Soloing, go for the Prophesy....... it has all the ingredients for a killer shred guitar.
Riffing, The Gibby Explorer second hand as it has a nice warm sound and really smooth for riffing.

It's not to say both guitars can't do either....... but if you're leaning towards one for a certain task........ that's my pick anyway.

Then you'd be more at home with a regular Gibson explorer.......
Reason A...... No need to setup Floyd Rose......
Reason B...... No need to setup Floyd Rose......
Reason C...... No need to setup Floyd Rose......

Do you see a pattern there?

Yuppers. It's Herman Li's Signature guitar, the E-Gen.

Don't tell the 7 stringers, but that's my next guitar tongue.gif

It's much cooler then the explorer IMHO.

Specs for the E-Gen was just released:
