Call Of Duty 4 Singleplayer Problem., need help

I've recently installed COD 4. Multiplayer works fine but Singleplayer can't seem to work. After I click on the COD 4 Singleplayer, the COD 4 image just flashes for a second and disappears. Then when I click on it again, it said something about running on safe mode and stuff. This has never happened on Multiplayer. Multiplayer runs smoothly. It's really frustrating cause I want to play Singleplayer first. Any help would be appreciated.

Erm, since u dun have any save games, why dun u try reinstalling the game first?
