i got a call from a number 0302, i picked up, he/she hang up....anyone receive this ?

I got this kind of number from friends calling from Medan, Indonesia.

it is a gateway no.

as simple as that. could be some advertising party, or call from international no. etc.

dont bother, forget about it and go to sleep.

like the moderator said usually its a redirect call from international

i am using a international prepaid service... its like a call back service.. and the receipant will see the incoming call as 0301 or 0302...

maybe some kinda hacker

hmm.... when i get call from singapore, it'll show its number ler...

it depends. usually when you call straight from handphone, then the no will shown up. else if the caller is using mid party, using phone card, skype or land line, it will go through a gateway no, 0302 is the most common.

I also kena once for 0302 and 0309 numbers. my phone only shows this number, and not a full one.

i just receive this number and i talk in Cantonese then she said bye bye. haha. I knew sure some kind of scam call or something as can listen her voice is from china.

Will i be charged if i answer calls from 0301 or 0302?

No you wont be charge.Its international call..sometimes it appear as withheld,00000,0301.

for me, it display as "out of area" or "------p-------"....

most likely is from oversea, n one of them is from indonesia.

any country or voip provider oversea that uses this gateway number...

If people were smart enough to immediately reject any phone numbers that are questionable or unrecognized, we're less prone to phone call scams. Just IGNORE unrecognizable numbers..period!

Its a number generated from a simbox. A sim box is like a gateway, they redirect calls to you from internatinoal numbers. In that way, they bypass the actual international gateway and thus save a sum of money and they earn from that sum.

Correct me if im wrong, these things are usually illegal and its a kind of telco fraud. thats why you usually see them originating from third world countries like india, indonesia or pakistan, bangladesh.

sg selling those call back card, it's lik a telephone card, juz tat u cn make overseas call. u dial the no, then hang up and aft which they will call bck n connect u to the no u wanted to call.
and such, the receiver no will show tat...
0301, 0302, private no, withheld, 0000

a smart ppl know what is a scam easily rather than immediately reject a call. it could be a emergency call from hospital. use of skype or msn to call a mobile always give you such a number either. i always get +8888888 call, but it is just a call from skype from a friend.

haha... same thing as you ... but only number different as i get d calling from 0301... was China Lady ... telling gt some phones exhibition in various places... giving a code of invitation and some craps la ... is from Singapore some company!

They phone me b4 the exhibition one, I gt invited once to Genting phone exhibition ... with me the code n said i m lucky winner n some craps, telling me i won some SE phone ask me to go n collect from them b4 7pm! Sunday! I smell fishy then i decide not to go...

Surprisingly, they phone me on that Sunday! Around 4.30pm, the background on the phone was noisy like realli in Genting but i dono la... I said i couldnt come ... so they plan to post to me! So, i m juz ignored it! After 2 weeks, they phone me again... i didnt pick up... until now ... i missed their phone without "sengaja"... for few time d ... I feel with no harm ... so sometime juz answer for fun since its free!!!

haha... i dono whther is true anot la? win this win tat ? !!!

I just got thil call from 0302 as soon as i want to press " Accept Call" ( I did not except yet) It hang up. I did not even manage to press Accept Call

i received 0302 this morning and guess what? ASTRO auto customer service inform for late payment...lol...I thought overseas girls LMAO...

omg i also kena like this one. 1st 0302 now unknown number WTF where did they got the number?

You should tell her cut the crap and i ask her straight one night how much...lol.
