Brother me also a fan of 85mm prime. Even if I do not use its wide aperture, I believe close down to f2.8 also surely much more accurate than standard 70-200 f2.8 zoom at f2.8.

Yeah... You can use F4 because your gals very pretty ma...

If not so pretty, then use wider aperture to enjoy the dreamy background lo...

I agree on your shutter speed. I usually use not less than 1/500 to have real sharp picture. For me, the rule of 1/focal length is only to get minimum usable picture, but not really sharp picture. So to be sharp, shutter has to be few times faster than the minimum...

And I can understand on the shaky hand issue as your gals are so pretty... Everyone will shake la... Or else not normal liao...

Potrait Sifu like you sure need one la...

Now the question... 85 f1.8 or 85 f1.2 ? How about the new 200 f2?

This time different sytles... really refresh my eyes... simple room... and simple red theme....

And good lighting there... Althought all background is red, but face/skin exposure/color still good, must be using profesional flash setup to hit the subject directly rather than reflector...

Ask you one question from your experinces. The question is if someone need EF135 f2 USM L for potrait if he already own;

5D + 40D camera
50 f1.4 USM
85 f1.2 L
70-200 f2.8 USM L

Do you think it is a good idea to have FF + 50 + 85 + 135 for potrait? Or the current FF + 50 + 85 + 70-200 L is sufficient.

One of the potential problem of having another 135mm primes might lead to too many lenses and create confussion on what lenses to use. It might also put the 70-200 at home...

What do you think?
