My PC Spec is :
CPU - pentium dual core e2140
Mobo - Asus P5PE-VM
RAM - DDR1 1GB (512x2)
GC - Build-In graphic Intel(R) Extreme Graphics 2
HDD - 160gb SATA2 (but running at sata1 speed, cause my mobo only support sata1)
Optical Drive - Lite-ON DVDRW
PSU - Powerlogic 350w true power

My Question Is :
I think want to upgrade my mobo + ram, cause my current mobo only support ddr1, and very pricy to buy/upgrade ddr1 RAM... then, current mobo also only support sata1... AND this mobo can't OVERCLOCK my cpu, it's BIOS no allow me to overclock ma...

my budget is very tight, i think i only have about rm300 to buy mobo + ddr2 ram
so, refer to price list at lowyat... i decide to buy

1. Mobo : Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L ~rm185 - 190 Website
2. DDR2 667 1GB x 2 ~ rm65 x 2 ~rm130

total = ~rm315 - 320 (still in my budget)

so... i need advise from other... it's good or not my idea to buy this mobo... or you all think, no need to upgrade anything... stay with current mobo is enough...

this pc i used at my office, everyday on 24x7 in aircondition room (include in weekend), unless cuti hari raya, i turn off my pc lo...

basicly i used
-photoshop for basic photo editing
-ulead video studio for basic video capturing + editing + rendering (sometimes need to record seminar..etc)
-also i watch tv with my pc
-also running some mirc bot to capture log + statistic
-also ms office, like word, excell, powerpoint
-then also sometimes burn dvd for my captured video/copy files/backup files

so... what're all of you opinion...

try to grab Abit IP35-E (off limit) Rm330 only.

u doing video editting . my adveise don change mobo . add more ram . and a graphic card . even a entry graphic card will make ur pc run smooth when u do video edit .

aiyya..rm330 only for mobo... need to add more budjet for RAM...

but 1GB DDR1 RAM will cost me about rm190, same price if i buy new mobo that can support more low cost DDR2 RAM

Basically, E2140 run in stock is abit slow if compare to 50% OCed bus or more.

But Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L this board can overclock ?

I dont think budget/cheap/entry level motherboard will allow you to overclock... (or cant overclock very high)

i have my old rig using amd athlon xp+gigabyte mobo, and i using it's tools name easytune to oeverclock.. hehehe..

Gigabyte 945 series can OC but not much...
This is an old testbed... I used to compare this wif AMD X2 3800+ for price/performance ratio...

another thing TS... i strongly suggest u change ur power supply if u dowan ur PC to go back to the stone age... i got bad experience wif Powerlogic PSU...

i am planning to sell my apacer ddr1 1 gb x2 but in another week or so...of course cheaper than retail per piece...

try to change ur ram to apacer DDRII 800 1GB with heatsink only RM85 (pc-zone)...

The motherboard try biostar T-Force with nVidia 7050 chipset...

finally...
at 530pm i go to plaza lowyat from bangi, after finish my work at office...

all the way...no jam ma... and surprisely plaza lowyat car park empty, i got parking at first level (forgot b1 or what)..but near the parking cashier office.. before this i always got parking at b3/b4...

and...finally i bought asus P5GC-MX + 1GBx2 DDR2 677...

i mean that 945gcm-s2 model cant clock well...i cant find it.

But not saying all S2 dont clock well...
