Hi everyone, need your advise :] Can we purchase bus tickets to Vung Tau from HCM city on the go when we reach the bus ticketing counter or it's best to purchase in advance? I found 12go.asia, baolau the only available sites to purchase (are they reliable?)

So, let's put a few examples of exchange i've done with fellow malaysians

case 1 - RM 600 for VND 3.4 million
case 2 - RM1417 for VND 8 million
case 3 - RM 3530 for VND 20 million

I don't think any of you can get the above rates at Money Changer right?

I probably don't get much, maybe losing, maybe earning, didn't care. Always welcome some coffee or gimme more. lol!

Dear All, Try not to buy coffee powder from ben thanh market. A local friend of mine told me its tourist trap. Most coffee powder there mixed with corn.

Okie dokey, I'll go later today. Just came back from a restaurant near Ben thanh ... go into an alley 20m from ben thanh and the food is good, price wise ... tourist price sad.gif

Place name Bep mi in, they are using biodegradable straw ... some kind of stem of a plant ... we are still pening bout how to get rid of plastic straw laugh.gif

Not everything la....if you know how to bargain, it's ok price. Local markets, a bit hard to communicate....

food is fine, a little overpriced but overall affordable
just do not shop at ben thanh market, window shop is fine but do not buy there
this is not the 1st time i heard people got scam in ben thanh market

and as for the straw, i don't know why people pening
thailand already has the solution long ago

ben thanh market's seller is very pushy, they keep pushing u to buy
if u don't buy after asking, they black face...those are not the vietnamese i know
u go an dong market, they understand numbers and simple english perfectly fine

do u know i go an dong market buy dried fruit using what language?...cantonese laugh.gif
yes, alot of saigon people can speak fluent cantonese somemore that area so near chinatown
and there is a street south of ben thanh that all people speak purely cantonese

Yea, which district should i go and roam.

Their smaller burj al khalifa is completed from a far, all the external is light up.

I'll check out that place when I'm free. Still on exploration mode but toned down a bit since i've got activities to fill up my time now.

That tower is Landmark 81, it's a shopping mall and hotel, you can buy Lambo in there. lol!
It is located in Binh Thanh district.
