After google I found tat x16 can support NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT, I not into high graphic games, What graphic card should I get for maya 3d max software, dota online games. budget around RM200-300.

PCI Express X16 fit any PCI-Express graphic card.
Rm300 roughly can get 8500GT DDR3.
RM380 8600GT

But i think 8600GT is better.

I'm blur about ddr/ddr2/ddr3 for graphic cards.
But for memory card the ddr is hella exp than ddr2, while ddr3 are faster n even exp n more advance than ddr2.

For me, ddr is juz a slot card ryt?

and how do I know if my mobo can use ddr2 or ddr3 or ddr. I read my mobo booklet only memory slot got say support ddr2 667/533/400 mhz but PCIE slot dont have stat about ddr.
BTW my mobo is Gigaybyte GA-VM900M

ddr is not a slot card. it a ram chip.

your mobo ram and your GC ram is two diff things...PCI-E is just slot...the ddr chip is on the GC PCB..

always go for DDR3 ,
i will choose MSI .

512mb in 128bit is a no no, because 128bit bottleneck the big memory size.

i tested a 2600Pro recently. it's a great card for it's price. smile.gif 500w is more than enough for 2600Pro.
