How do i determine if a fan is strong and powerful. I want to find a powerful fan but those lowyat sell 1 doesnt convince me so any pointers?

hmm....determine a fan strong or weak by its CFM.
How strong you want ? Our forumer like AllnGap he sell alot powerful fan. biggrin.gif

Powerful = noise. U can't avoid that I'm afraid. Even Silverstone fans are quite loud at full speed. icon_rolleyes.gif

borrow/highjack your thread for a while. any recommendations on 120mm front intake fan for my casing? dont want a loud one and as long as it can suck in sufficient air thats good enough.

you can always buy those fan with fan speen controller. Like Silver Stone ...forget the model.

cari allngap, buy delta nmb, panaflo, or other fans from him.

CM, evercool etc etc fans are for pussies flex.gif

for 120mm NMB/delta etc.. anything above 0.45A rating is abit noisy, but so is the airflow.. damn nice smile.gif
for 80mm nmb/delta anything above 0.7 is noisy ade, but the airflow is good la...

39.77CFM for 12CM fan is common , you can go LYP try the CM LED 12CM FAN too...same feel.

its a good thing only if you want silence la.. because afaik, that cfm and pressure are crappy...btw, if you are the DIY type, u can easily attach LED, fan controllers etc etc to the fans without paying a premium

0.16A for a 120mm is very silent already.. 0.45A is for a delta or NMB, which is a ball bearing fan, which again, generally, the lifespan of ball bearing based fans vs sleeved bearing fans are alot longer
but then again, can u stand the noise of a high cfm unit? brows.gif

icute fans are actually not bad u know....good flow with not much noise..

seriously.. for 12cm.. get the vizo uv led fans enough la. good airflow and acceptable noise IMHO.
