QUOTE(wormy1034 @ Dec 31 2007, 01:42 PM) Hi,i'm from penang and willing to join POC as stated, can i? I also did tested on both capacity and furthermore with 4 X 1GB and 2 X 2GB ( Current). From my result, there is very2 tiny improved but in term of stability, I found that 4GB (2X2GB) would be less hassle than 4 X 1GB. anyway,i tested 4GB and 2GB in every application and game,in game, nothing much improved, same fps, just waste of money from 2Gb to 4GB,cause until today all games can uilize with 2GB only. anyway,i'm using QX6850 @ 3.825GHz,i just came back from Germany. For games that really demand RAM such as COH for instance, there will be less burden of memory if you set the graphic setting to its fullest rather than using 2GB where it will utilize almost all your RAM for the game alone. You cans ee the right bottom bar in the setup page of the COH graphic setup for this. |

I am thinking to continue further study abroad now. Maybe if lucky enough stay and work there for several years to clear this debt.
I hope I can still provide performance stuff later on. |

I just been informed by Mushkin and OCZ that Memory is gonna raise within this few weeks. This is due to less production from chip manufacturer during the CNY festival....
Price might up about 10% or something....Some said the price will be back to recent price after CNY...hopefully its true. |

QUOTE(@meno @ Jan 18 2008, 03:37 PM) Anyone got friends in US who is coming back? I agree with you. If bring under for sales purpose the cost will increase too much.I'm looking at the PCP&P Silencer 610w. It's really a bargain if bought in US. P/S: Some PC Power & Cooling will be brought by their Authorized distributor within 1-2 weeks. Models available is including the Silencer 610W. I hope the price could at least a little more than newegg.com and to exceed too much. This post has been edited by karom: Jan 18 2008, 05:59 PM |

E-sys is at the moment the Distributor for PC Power and Cooling. I heard that their shipment of PSU from PC P&C will arrive by 26/01/2008. Most of them will be Silencer series.
If they are able to market Silencer Series. I hope they will provide us good price though. Models that will arrive are: 750W( Both Black and Red) , 610W, 470W. |

QUOTE(sleepyone @ Jan 19 2008, 10:45 AM) Not so straight-forward as taking the newegg price and multiply by 3.3, then add freight. Like that, a new BMW would only cost RM80,000! Instead, here in Malaysia, the BMW is at RM300k plus! There is this thing called TAX. All PSUs are subjected to hefty taxes. Indeed there is tax for PSU. Unlike other PC Parts, PSU and fan will be charged for tax which sometime vary depend on the code apply during the shipment. This week itself, ram prices have shot up by more than 20% in Taiwan. Soon, it will be reflected here in Malaysia. If you have a person who is getting from USA to Malaysia, I think the could be avoid providing he/she does carry too much item with him/her. As for PC P&C from local distributor, I think they will able to match Silverstone Olympia and Decathlon prices. |

QUOTE(@meno @ Jan 19 2008, 08:59 PM) I'm not sure about how much noise these high powered PSUs make nowadays, but this unit should be relatively silent. The design itself causes less turbulence inside the PSU reducing up to 10db of noise as claimed by PCP&P. From what I heard, some manufacturer will slow down production for CNY festival. Hopefully the rise is not too much though cos later many people who hope for more price drop will cry....lol.Ya i know about taxes. But if you bring in one unit only, and in most cases without the box, it's highly probable they won't tax you for it. Yes, ram prices are up. For those who wants to get some, grab now while prices here are more or less stagnant. |
