I agree with you. If bring under for sales purpose the cost will increase too much.

P/S: Some PC Power & Cooling will be brought by their Authorized distributor within 1-2 weeks. Models available is including the Silencer 610W. I hope the price could at least a little more than newegg.com and to exceed too much.
*
It would be a real bargain if prices were competitive with newegg.
Prices on online stores are going for pretty cheap.

Just imagine, 610w, 83% efficiency, low noise level despite using only 1 ADDA 80mm fan, 49A single 12v rail, 6 sata connectors, SLI Certified.
Seriously, it has everything i need and want.
Bro, u have any idea who's the distro for PCP&P/OCZ in M'sia? Does Gatum Dale still deal with them?
I seriously fell in love with this PSU... tongue.gif
This is the next best around 600w PSU apart from the Corsair HX, except that the Corsair is Modular and this is not.

E-sys is at the moment the Distributor for PC Power and Cooling. I heard that their shipment of PSU from PC P&C will arrive by 26/01/2008. Most of them will be Silencer series.

If they are able to market Silencer Series. I hope they will provide us good price though.

Models that will arrive are: 750W( Both Black and Red) , 610W, 470W.

From wat i heard is prices will be permanently up.
So better grab ur rams soon.
It's not only the 2 brands, but almost every manufacturer shd increase price due to increase in price of ram chips.
*
It applies to all DDR2 ram. Manufacturers are taking heavy losses due to massive stockpiling last year in anticipation of Vista, so now they've shut down many of the DDR2 production lines to clear stock and push prices up to profitable levels before resuming production. They're also slowly moving over to DDR3, but don't expect DDR3 to become affordable (but still above DDR2 price) in anything less than 1-2+years. Flash & GDDR ram are also affected, even worse in fact. Samsung is selling off their GDDR3 stock below cost, 1/8 of the usual already low price of other manufacturers.

There's no way it'll remain silent at 610W, only at low-medium load it'll be silent. At 83% efficiency its still got 100W+ of wasted heat to dump out of the PSU. And thats assuming it doesn't have to deal with the heat of the PC itself.

Not so straight-forward as taking the newegg price and multiply by 3.3, then add freight. Like that, a new BMW would only cost RM80,000! Instead, here in Malaysia, the BMW is at RM300k plus! There is this thing called TAX. All PSUs are subjected to hefty taxes.

This week itself, ram prices have shot up by more than 20% in Taiwan. Soon, it will be reflected here in Malaysia.

Indeed there is tax for PSU. Unlike other PC Parts, PSU and fan will be charged for tax which sometime vary depend on the code apply during the shipment.

If you have a person who is getting from USA to Malaysia, I think the could be avoid providing he/she does carry too much item with him/her.

As for PC P&C from local distributor, I think they will able to match Silverstone Olympia and Decathlon prices.

I'm not sure about how much noise these high powered PSUs make nowadays, but this unit should be relatively silent. The design itself causes less turbulence inside the PSU reducing up to 10db of noise as claimed by PCP&P.

Ya i know about taxes.
But if you bring in one unit only, and in most cases without the box, it's highly probable they won't tax you for it.

Yes, ram prices are up.
For those who wants to get some, grab now while prices here are more or less stagnant.

From what I heard, some manufacturer will slow down production for CNY festival. Hopefully the rise is not too much though cos later many people who hope for more price drop will cry....lol.

I don't think prices will drop anymore.
Reliable sources were pointing for a more to permanent increase.
However, i do hope prices will drop again someday.
