Hi,i'm from penang and willing to join POC as stated, can i?
anyway,i tested 4GB and 2GB in every application and game,in game, nothing much improved, same fps, just waste of money from 2Gb to 4GB,cause until today all games can uilize with 2GB only.
anyway,i'm using QX6850 @ 3.825GHz,i just came back from Germany.
*
I also did tested on both capacity and furthermore with 4 X 1GB and 2 X 2GB ( Current). From my result, there is very2 tiny improved but in term of stability, I found that 4GB (2X2GB) would be less hassle than 4 X 1GB.

For games that really demand RAM such as COH for instance, there will be less burden of memory if you set the graphic setting to its fullest rather than using 2GB where it will utilize almost all your RAM for the game alone. You cans ee the right bottom bar in the setup page of the COH graphic setup for this.

anyway, the higher rams capacity, is better. moreover, rams price cheap2 already. are u using DDR3?? if like that, must cost a bomb.. sweat.gif
games nowadays just utilize 2gb of rams. its more than enough already. but for building a server, higher than 2gb is recommended... smile.gif

edit: are u from penang?? post ur ocing result screenshot here, can be part of our member. make sure u are able to join our TT.. thumbup.gif

Jaryl,
The OC database seriously needs update...tongue.gif
All POC members who have change in information, please update ur info here in the thread to make it easier for Jaryl to do the update.

Btw, i'm proposing a new format for the OC database.
Nickname:Proc:Mobo:Ram:Proc Speed:Ram Speed:Vcore:Vdimm: Cooling Device(eg-model of hsf, watercooling)

This will make a more complete list for everyone's reference.
*
Agreed, though I suggest a slight change in the order
Nickname : Proc : Proc Speed : Vcore : Mobo : Ram : Ram Speed & timing :Vdimm: Cooling Device(eg-model of hsf, watercooling)

for example
lohwenli : Pentium 4 2.8Ghz (Northwood M0) : 3500Mhz@1.525vcore : Abit IS7 : OCZ Platinum EL DDR400 : DDR500@2.5-3-3-7, 2.8vdimm : Generic Thermaltake heatsink

QUOTE(a1098113 @ Dec 30 2007, 06:18 PM)
did u guys gte my OC screenshot in the V2 of this thread
*
I'm gonna dig through the old V2 & V1 threads over the next few weeks to find those missed out.

QUOTE(kmarc @ Dec 31 2007, 10:39 AM)
This may be the reason - as stated in the first page "Strictly no SPAMMING over here, once found,u will be reported to the Admin and u will be suspended"

Me non-POC member lagi takut....  sweat.gif

Well, actually we're not that strict..as long as nobody gets pissed off..I for one do not like it when there's a whole bunch of pointless posts..lose track of what we're discussing about..
