there is a way for u to trouble shoot whether it's chipset problem.
take off the ram,and boot ur pc,if there is still no error post beep sound from the mobo speaker,then can 90% confirmed chipset burnt or faulty liao

yup,maybe static damaged the mobo already.
recently i just sold my Albatron to forumer helangkawi,when i took it off it's working one.
then he fixed up and booted and got beep sound but no respond on monitor,after that he booted again and the mobo died

btw,the mobo might killed by static charges or the chipset burnt.
