Hi, with respect to the above title,
Please take note that the Lan Games Competition 08 will be held in Multimedia University Cyberjaya Campus.
This is an OPEN event.
Popular games such as:
1) DotA
2) Counter-Strike 1.6
3) FIFA08
4) PES 2008
5) War3
6) NFS Prostreet/ Carbon (still checking around)
Registration fees: RM10 ea person
Registration info&rules: still setting up
Venue: MMU Cyberjaya FIT Lab
DATE: JUNE 2008
Whoever who wants to join the competition also can post here for reservation purposes.

I believe if it's on weekend, any date is ok as long as it's 1 month before finals.  My opinion for NFS, use ProStreet as they now already have dedicated LAN server. Carbon don't have LAN mode at all.  |

3rd or 4th week into the new sem would be nice. Weekend of course.
Dunnit 2 months to promote a competition. If you announce the prize money early enough, the competition will spread instantly.

yeah... although it is a little bit late...but it won't be rush to the organizers organizing...
and although it is midterm...we announce earlier, arrangement can be made, which means, students can either study earlier or later...depends on themselves since it's on weekend itself.

hehe... are u sure? Don't put your words too early, there are new PCs available, I believe they can perform well enough to cater Direct X10 games... Well, I'll do the testing... hehe ^^ Date is to be confirmed after this 7th January 2008. Voting is open until then... but decision is still mine to make Please bear with me...Registration already set at RM10 per person.

If super unlucky also, their midterm test falls on the Saturday,
but arrangement can be made for them to compete at night...

OK... let me clarify, E-week has nothing to do with us...
soon is organizing the 3 games in conjunction with E-week.
GDC is initially planning to launch the game event next sem, but we're trying to work with WCG so they suggested us to make it June...
just a effort to bring this news to everyone so that you guys know when and what is it about...
and how come got two events... within a short period.
