First Question.
Currently I am using a Aopen 7800 GT-DVD256.
I am planning to upgrade the graphic performance since addited to ProStreet tongue.gif
I thinking between the 7800GT SLi or single 8800GT.
Which setting have performs better ?

Second Question.
Since I couldn't find any identical Aopen 7800 GT-DVD256.
Can I use other brand's 7800GT that have the same spec to make it into SLi ?

Thanks for answering notworthy.gif

from ur sig u already have an SLI mobo. and yes u can use other brand 7800GT.

if u want cheap then the 7800GT u can find a good cheap then go 7800GT SLI.

but if u want more performance then 8800GT.

Thanks for advising....
u guys reply damn fast smile.gif

Is the 8800 GT out perform the 7800GT alot ?
Since my main purpose is to play some game.

The reason of not getting 8800GT is the 9series that will be releasing soon.

since u already wait a long way, just wait another month

i know buying hardware is not a waiting game

don't get me wrong, is good buying 8800GT when it is first released

but buying 8800GT now when u know 9 series is gonna release next month is stupid (for me anyway)

why buy now when u already wait for a long time, might just wait till 9 series is out, its only next month

unless u planning to buy every time new GeForce version is released, be my guest smile.gif

If you tight on budget , just buy it. That's the purpose of having SLi mobo, buy 2nd card to give more oomph when you need it smile.gif

Another things is the game you played, if it have little increase when using SLi, then it's not worth it. Check first beforehand

I t hink it's wiser to go for an 8800gt and sell off your current 7800gt.You won't lose much that way.

Ived used 7800GT before and now 8800GT . I doubt doubling the 7800GT will ever touch 8800GT's performance .

It's best to upgrade to the latest technology. Even you SLI yours, 8800GT would still outperform the 7800 SLI. icon_rolleyes.gif

agreed.. smile.gif

why opt for 7800 SLI when you can get a single unit card working better than those?

dude, what's your psu?
you'll need to buy new psu if it's less than 600w.
while a single new 8800gt cost around rm850 at the moment.
learned the lesson of 'SLI' ?? ...impractical for common users like us. tongue.gif
