3% interest is charged on ur outstanding loan amount, example, 21K loan, 3% is about 650/yr, tht will be about 52.50/month aka admin fees.

pls understand 1thing, u borrow and u pay back, it doesn't matter whether thousands ppl out there who borrow monkey years ago n didn't pay, it's ur responsibility to ur own debt. stop behaving like : why m i got summon when the rest of the vehicles also speeding...

perhaps when each every individual be responsible to pay up their own PTPTN loan, the government won't hav to imposed tht 3% interest (which has oready gone down from 4% to encourage u ppl to pay..) and ur children don hav problem borrowing money.

May be the government should increase the interest to 8% instead , then ppl will stop claiming put the money in investment gain >5% return to pay back , which they never do.

u r cute, u signed the contract without reading it at all.
interest rate of 3% is high ? government loaning u $$ to study doesn't mean it is 0% interest.
