1. It'll stop charging you interest when you finish paying.
2. If you look at your online ptptn statement, there is an ujrah charge every month.. If you miss 1 month payment, when you pay on the 2nd month, the payment will be used to settle 2*interest, only then minus from principal.. So if you split payment and pay twice in a month, it'll cover 2* ujrah.. Then the next month's payment will just be fully principal..
3. No email to remind you, but got email to thank you after you made payment.. Anytime within the month is okay.. I'm not sure if there is a cut off for the month's payment.. I think the most is just a '1' in your ccris.. Not too sure of the financial implications of forgetting a month of payment..
Hope this helps.
Hi Sarah, I have the same question as well, currently my repayment period is 20 years, loan principal is around 50k. The minimum payment every month is around 260, if I increase the amount to 500 per month, will I pay less interest in the long run? Or do I need to go to Ptptn and ask for a shorter repayment schedule in order to increase the payment amount? Sorry if this question sounds dumb, I have just started paying my Ptptn loan as well.2.
