Just wondering, is it possible to pay the monthly installment more than the allocated amount online? Because I am confused with the UI at the bottom of the penyata online for online payment, regarding the "Bayaran Balik" column.

EDIT: I included the screenshot.

Hi,

To answer your question, yes you can pay more than what your installment amount is.

But what appears weird is, my bayaran balik column shows me the total outstanding amount that I have left and not "0.00".

May be worth checking with PTPTN themselves on this.

Cheers

From what I know,
Your tungakan bulanan the sum of (ujrah + repayment you should pay for current month) + (whatever previous month you owe) , while the bayaran balik is the amount paid more than tungakan bulanan.
For example, tungakan bulanan is RM200 but payment RM300, therefore the table will show
Tungakan bulanan - RM200
Bayaran Balik - RM100

Ah thanks, makes more sense now!

I'm on the 3% loan. Did not change to the 1%, hence explains why I'm seeing it differently.

Cheers!

Cheers!

Yea, so basically I cleared off in 6 years, couldnt really believe it in myself.
But nevertheless, thanks!
It is possible.
In fact, i did mine in less than 20 minutes (calling, waiting for PTPTN email, pay via credit card and replying the email back to PTPTN with payment proof as attachment).

Thanks man! Did it in around the same time frame.
They did say that the release letter should be available after the 10th of Jan.

Cheers!

For those who have made full settlement recently, do they mail the settlement to you?

1. Snail mail to mailing address OR
2. Soft copy to your email

Or they expect you to login to their portal to save a copy on your own?

Hi

In my case, it was emailed to me by the officer that assisted me in getting everything settled.

Cheers!

I also wonder the same thing now that they canceled the 10% discount. Seriously feel cheated by new gov.

Hey there

I'm curious as to how the ending of the 10% discount relates to being cheated by the gov?

If you were supposed to pay PTPTN RM100, and you had a 10% discount for 3 years (paying RM90) and on the 4th year you just went back to paying what you originally owe.. How is that being cheated? On the contrary, shouldn't an individual be thankful that there was a discount in the first place?

That would just be paying what you owe, as how loans are meant to be? Or what am I missing?

Cheers!
