Asking on behalf of my nephew. He said that since he is under Ujrah, paying more than the scheduled monthly payment will have no effect at all since the 1% admin fee is already prorated to the balance. On the other hand, I am telling him to consider paying more.
Is my nephew correct, that it makes no difference to pay more under the Ujrah scheme?

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 17 2016, 11:08 PM) Ujrah is just like hire purchase loan. The admin cost/fee is fixed and calculated upfront. Yup, got it. Thank you.

(1) For those under ujrah and wish to make full settlement, will the total amount to pay is the total amount or after deducting the 1% ujrah cost?
(2) How to stop your employer from making monthly salary deduction after making full settlement?
Thanks

Need some advice on behalf of my nephew. Previously I told him to go for Ujrah with monthly deduction since can get the 10% discount. Now that the discount will stop end of 2018, he asked if he is better of paying the fill amount and get 20% discount.
RM25,000 left to pay for 8 years. 20% off means just need to pay RM20,000 Is it a good move? say against 4% FD rate.
I read previous post about settling lump sum using EPF account takes a long time.
Can the amount be paid using credit card at the PTPTN office? And get the loan settlement letter immediately?
Thanks

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Nov 5 2018, 11:53 AM) Question - lets say schedule repayment before year end, eligible for 10%. the 10% will deduct as a whole? Or at monthly basis? If monthly basis, meaning, only 10% for 1 month(12178)? Monthly basis. Just left 2 months

Some info on full payment for the 20% disc till end of 2018
- You may contact PTPTN to inquire what is the balance and amount to be paid after 20% discount. - You may make payment through online or at counter using the amount after 20% discount. Just need IC number for counter payment. - Send the receipt to PTPTN and they will prepare the confirmation letter

QUOTE(David83 @ Nov 8 2018, 09:23 PM) Human NatureCan swipe RM 10k or RM 20k online? i believe so. The PTPTN officer who confirms that full payment can be made online know the amount is over RM20,000. My nephew made over the counter payment so unable to fully verify.

QUOTE(kimi28laren @ Nov 14 2018, 10:14 AM) For 10% disc if repay at least 50% of outstanding amt, I don't need to enquire PTPTN right? I only need to pay a single cc payment to get the discount right? Because not enough money to repay all Not sure, I think no harm to ask PTPTN what is the correct way so that you can get the 10%. They are fast in replying

QUOTE(cristiano7mu @ Dec 5 2018, 11:08 PM) Wanna clarify... The 20% discount only applicable if we pay 100% at ptptn counter? Any other more convenient method? You can email ptptn to calculate what is the 80% amount to pay. Then pay it online.
