QUOTE(Area51SE @ Dec 27 2020, 02:54 PM) The 10% discount for PTPTN using Auto Debit / Deduction was discontinued by the PH government previously. So yea no discount. Not sure about full settlement though i applied for autodebit and got the 10% discount that time. but like you mentioned, the discount was discountinued. so is it OK if i requested to stop the monthly autodebit and manual pay through boost or whatever. Will there be any negative effect to me from PTPTN?

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Feb 26 2021, 05:44 PM) So no concern for doing so as long as you repay on time and don't want a scar on your CCRIS for missing repayment. alright tq do i need to go PTPTN office to cancel or can do it online?

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Feb 26 2021, 05:51 PM) I'm not sure about this. Maybe need to do at the office. 13. Bagaimanakah sekiranya peminjam ingin membatalkan Direct Debit? Pembatalan secara automatik akan dibuat sekiranya baki hutang keseluruhan pinjaman telah diselesaikan. Pembatalan di atas sebab-sebab lain adalah tertakluk persetujuan pihak PTPTN. My PTPTN account should be closed after repayment completed. I don't think that I can still access my account. ok. i also saw that FAQ and their answer is not clear. will check with their CS next monday

Already scheduled auto direct debit in 2017 and got 10% discount for one year before abolished by PH. I still doing auto debit paying monthly till now, so will automatically get the 10% for this round in 2021-2022?

QUOTE(MUM @ Nov 7 2021, 04:44 PM) Sunday, 07 Nov 2021 NATIONAL Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) borrowers who are already making repayments through salary deductions or direct debits are also eligible for the 10% discount given in Budget 2022. In a statement on Oct 30, PTPTN said these borrowers, together with new ones who also register for repayment via the two methods, would enjoy the discount for their payments between Nov 1 and April 30. .................. ................... “The discount incentive will be updated in the borrowers’ loan accounts at the end of each month and the borrowers can view their statements from the 7th of the following month,” it added. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/education/2...rowers#cxrecs_sI already made payment through direct debit fee years ago, My monthly payback amount is 280... so this one discount for 6 months means I will get discount 280 x6 x 10%= 168? Is it correct?

QUOTE(MUM @ Nov 8 2021, 07:18 PM) i am not 100% sure,...but i think it looks like that If discount only 6 months then not worth for the new payers... gained few hundred but need pay monthly.. Unless can cancel direct debit after 6 months..? Haha However of course it is the borrower obligation to pay back what they borrowed
