So many excuse for not paying. Already borrowed so please pay back. The world is not fair. So pandai-pandai budget your expenses to pay back.
Me with surviving salary also manage to pay back.

giving excuses? my foot, i dont have to explain to you and you're in no position to make such irresponsible statement. who cares if i dont give a damn on you? you're not immigration nor ptptn officer right? go get a life dude.

p.s: i'm not blacklisted as confirmed by ptptn smile.gif

I don't mean to intrude, but I just wanted to elaborate on the reasons for the blacklist.
The logic is simple. If a person cannot afford to repay the ptptn loan, does it make sense that he can still afford to go overseas for holiday?

As long as u pay any amount yearly then i think should be ok. Just to keep ur account active, then they wont bar u from going oversea. But of cos if possible pay regularly, dont hope for rebate or discount as 1 of my fren did not pay for 5-6 yrs, suddenly get warning letter. By then, his interest alone had accumulated till 5k+. Not worth it

fenrir: blacklisted are those who never ever make any form of payment. If u are really tight on money and hence unable to service the loan, i suggest u to talk to ptptn. On a case to case basis, they will consider delay payment provided u did prove ur facts by all the necessary doc. But if u choose to ignore, then they will assume u have money but not paying back. smile.gif

ada duit nak pergi overseas, but tak ada duit nak bayar walaupun RM 50 kepada ptptn.

sorry to say but certain ptptn defaulters are quite hypocrite.
those whom butthurt with my statement, it's definitely true.

The context I was replying to was fenrir's where he mentioned vacation.

As for business trip, if your work really involves overseas travel, go to their office and talk to them. I know calling them and emailing them won't work, but if you take the time to visit their office and talk to their people, they can really help you resolve any potential blacklist issues.

If worst comes to worst, like what a few of the other posters have mentioned. As long as you pay at least a partial amount every month to the PTPTN, they normally are quite reasonable people.

Anyways, anyone here tried the ujrah 1% thingie? So far, based on what I've read here, and googled, it's more like a car loan while the old 3% is more like a home loan. And that fixed payment by IRB is a real deal breaker.

I tried to make payment for my PTPTN loan through http://epay.ptptn.gov.my/loan/ptptnlogin.jsp? , used the SMS service to check for my pin number, entered it, but it says it's invalid. Anyone here having the same problem?
*
not sure whether you get your pin or not.
But the pin# is the No Rujukan which is stated in your PTPTN statement letter. You can check from there.
As for payment, I go to efes link available there instead of epay.

My opinion:

If your current balance is low and going to finish re-pay, then not worthy to change to Ujrah 1%
As they calculate base on the balance of the cut off date...

If your current balance is high, then it's worthy to change to Ujrah 1% and takes your time to repay

I applied for this, but yet to have feedback. I even write enquiry to http://icare.ptptn.gov.my and their feedback is as below. I submitted the signed document 1 month ago. Till now still no status whether approve or not. Interest in the statement is still the same 3% rclxub.gif

Carilah siapa-siapa pegawai kerajaan. Too troublesome. That is why I just stick to the 3%.

You can go find Pesuruhjaya Sumpah to sign and verify as saksi as well as verify you and your parent's IC copy.
No need to bring along your parents.
They charge around RM3 to RM4 per signature...

I did mine at Ipoh town and JB town..different location as I forget to bring along my parents IC copy during first stamping...

wanna ask regarding the ujrah 3% to 1%~
i just received a few forms from them telling that i need to fill in all these form~

one of the forms is the loan repayment through deduction from salary~
does that mean that if i apply for the 1%, the repayment method is through salary deduction?

I studied in a local university and got full loan from PTPTN until I cancelled the loan after 2.5 years of study. So I owe PTPTN about RM 17500.

Should I pay back one shot or pay by installment? And I checked for my name at the PTPTn website but my name was not there..

I'm in the same situation with you. I also borrowed for 2.5 years only.

Yes you have to and should pay back. You can choose to pay back 1 shot or by installment, for me, I pay back by installment.

How long have you terminate your contract with PTPTN? normally after 6 months, they'll start to ask you to pay, regardless you are still studying or not, those stupid brainless ppl there asked me to pay back my loan when i still in my 3rd year, even though when i terminate the contract, got some stupid ppl ask me to take signature from my dean to apply for something call "penangguhan bayaran balik" which so call can enable me to start paying after i grad but after 6 months they still ask me to pay. and when i call back to ask about the stupid surat penangguhan balik thing, they say it's useless wan.. if useless then in the 1st place y they ask me to apply? this ppl working there really no hope.

and btw, we also not entitled to get the 3% to 1% interest conversion as they say I "break" contract... zzzz..
