Hi guys,
I just checked my PTPTN statement it seems my loan has been restructured starting from Jan 2021. However I cannot find any details of this restructure i.e monthly payment, duration.
Has anyone experience the same ?

Not much details yet. Hopefully no restrictions. The most funny thing in Malaysia : Giving discount to those ppl who delay to payback the loan.

Now you know why it is interest free It is basically a ploy to buy votes for the upcoming GE and another reason why govt so desperate there is no other major source revenue this year

If a person has two PTPTN loans (they show up separately in CCRIS - one for diploma and another for degree), is settling one of the two loans considered full settlement, i.e. eligible for 15% discount?

Read upon full settlement of loans which all loans paid of and no due after that

I dont hv ptptn loan a/c.. Can I ask, is the details of that 2 loans displayed in ccris has separate reference like different a/c number or loan numbers to differentiate between the diploma loan from the degree one? If hv I think n my bets is,... settling one fully will also gets that discount. This post has been edited by yklooi: Oct 29 2021, 07:13 PM

direct debit cannot remove right? subject to PTPTN's approval based on their FAQs
What if you don't have enough balance inside your account, can the auto debit still - until its -ve amount? Some banks like HLB got penalty from what I heard if there's auto debit failure

Some banks like HLB got penalty from what I heard if there's auto debit failure use your dormant account. i stopped putting money in direct debit account (cimb) when they abolish the discount. i get failure email and notifications but no fees.

Need advice on whether worth pay half or full. Napkin math suggested that even at a reasonable 6% return on investments, the ptptn loan interest I save is next to nothing compared to just lump sum the same amount into robo/index funds... by like 10x amount at the end of loan duration

Give them sometime to fine tune the repayment because any announcement during the budget can also be revised later or old rules override.
