not only penryn,just not all mobo bios able to disable,in tat case,we disable it when boot into windows

5.0ghz is kind of impossible for Air Cooling.

How do you disable a core? Interested to know as I wanna go penryn quad next time. Thinking of running 2 cores when doing basic things and 4 cores when need extreme powaaahhh!!!

in windows,
open 'run' ----> type ' msconfig' -------> boot.ini ----------> advanced options ----> /numproc = 1
