Hi guys, having a problem with my Kef X300A - can power on, LED on main unit lights up and corresponds correctly to source input but keeps on disconnecting and connecting itself (on both USB in and AUX in)

Need repair contacts urgently in KL as my go-to contact already "retired" and no longer provides service

To think of it and the reality, say a RM300 worth product to repair, factor in your time, transport, effort, fees..repair once or twice more than half the cost of the product. tongue.gif

everything have power, just no sound coming out from the speaker. If I leave it for quite some time and I on it back it works normally, but after awhile it start to fail, the sound starts to fade and back to normal and getting worst. End up it will goes no sound at all.

I see, my altec lansing vs4621’s totally no bass at all. Only sound from left and right speakers. Been using it for 4.5 years. Suspected the amp is damaged.

My opinion, a lot of these multimedia speakers spoil due to cheaply mass produced and cheaply fitted parts that last only so long. They are mostly made to a price point for purpose and intent. Looks good on the outside but not inside. Price of such products have been very affordable and low and this is what makes it even more likely for uneconomical repair if it eventually fail for any reason. Its labor, time, effort to diagnose and repair doesn't come cheap and its never become cheaper because its all manual work and expertise. This is no "house call plumber fix a leak" job. Repair cost at a competent technician may cost almost the new product price. Hard to find RM50-80 repairers nowadays if anyone is thinking that's about worth the job. I used to take in these jobs years ago, but when quote fixing charges..owner.."Wahhhhhh!" as if I'm cheating them..I gave up!

Not my area of expertise. My post was referring to failed electronics at multimedia speakers.
You can DIY yourself if daring. Look to youtube how its done. You may have to find the correct size surround foam/rubber.
