It took me 15 minutes for the whole process, quite fast. probably because of the internet connection.

Uzumaki, it's very very easy. Much easier than SE Phone (I'm using W850i) back then. Just plug in the USB and start the Nokia Software Updater. Changing the region won't void warranty? If you just want to remove the shutter sound, check this apps http://news.mobile9.com/s60apps/2007/08/20...-by-chua-welic/ someone did mentioned this earlier, I forgot which page.

Added on April 8, 2008, 9:24 pmI think you don't need to backup anything, but it's better to be safe than sorry later on.

All my data is still there after the update so i guess the user preservation software works?

That's bad. If you pull out the cable now it will surely brick the phone right? sweat.gif

it's fine now.
good thing it hangs a few seconds into the flashing..

tried it a further 3 times,same result.
something in this laptop is at fault.

anyway,for future reference for the rest;
the minute the NSU hung up, i just opened the task manager, forcefully closed the NSU.
then took out the charger, and battery from the phone.
finally the USB cable.

put the battery back, pressed the on button, and it works again like before.

so i guess updating isnt on my to do list just yet tongue.gif

*just to be sure, does the nokia pc suite effect the NSU?
or is the NSU a stand alone program?
thanks*
*
Phew.. rclxms.gif

Hmm. I'm sure you'll still need the PC Suite for to use NSU. What's wrong with your pc suite? I'm using the Nseries pc suite btw, in case that might have any effect on the NSU itself. Since my update went smooth.

Sorry, I don't use Opera.

*
The only reason i use Opera is because I got some annoying problem with the default web browser. I can't click on the "submit" button whenever i fill up a form on some websites. It just crash and return to the standby screen. Luckily the problem seems to go away with the new firmware. biggrin.gif

The N95 should work, I'm using the beta version anyway, and also Opera Mobile.

Try to use Opera Mobile...

I got Opera Mobile, but sometimes I still use the mini to save bandwidth. I got gprs only, no 3g. So suck.

Eh ...

This happened to me twice already. I use my phone, then when it's near-full battery put in my pocket and then few hours later battery dead. Any ideas what apps might have accidentally run that can drain my battery that quick?
*
Why don't you check your running applications with Handy Taskman or something similar? Probably you accidentally activate the GPS? Not sure really. hmm.gif

[attachmentid=438639]

bought a new car mount, very stable & sturdy and almost vibration free.
the phone fits well and it doesn't block the charging port.
arms can be extended, multi-angle adjustment with ball-bearing joint at the phone holder base...  thumbup.gif
definitely beat all the rm15 one outside.

Wahh, I've been looking for something like this. Any idea when I can get it in Malaysia? I don't mind spending a bit for a quality product like this. tongue.gif

It's safe, but just backup your file if anything goes wrong. If you flip back 2 pages there's someone got his phone hang and wrote down the step to recover from it.

i have tried to search around, seems like no one selling quality car mount in malaysia. so paying.. i think SGD17 for fedex delivery to KL is not bad though smile.gif
*
How much does it cost? SGD17 is just the delivery or with the mount all together? Sorry for the question, I've been looking for this also. But over here all look so lousy.

Errr .. it doesn't support N82? As not shown in the device list. unsure.gif

I've the latest update for those apps.  wink.gif
Edit:
Ok I choose the N73 and downloaded the installer. I tried it, quality so so and doesn't not have the quality setting as Mobiola, also the video has a watermark on the top right. And most sad is it hangs once awhile for unknown reason. Guess it's not stable under Win Vista. sad.gif
*
hmm, thats funny. But I haven't tested the new flashlite3 yet.

oh.. Too bad la, free stuff I guess. We should stick to Mobiola then tongue.gif

n82 seniors, can we customize the active plugins like this ? http://nseries-mobile.blogspot.com/2007/03...by-plugins.html

Or we are stuck between enable / disabled it only. Really hope can customize the interface later on.
*
As far as I know, there's no way to activate or deactivate the active plugin for n82 *yet*. Haha. Maybe someday?

If I'm not mistaken you'll need to *ahem* the Garmin Mobile in order to use the N82 built in GPS. Otherwise you're stuck with the external GPS devices.

You can always disable the A-GPS for Nokia Maps, just follow the instruction above.

Well anyway, welcome to the club smile.gif
