Hi guys, i think im the latest N82 user in the list. Just got it just now at 9pm for RM1650 (COMSAT-AP set). I was using N73 then change to N81(for a week plus) and now N82.

My N82 version is

The Xenon Flash is simply amazing with 5mp pictures taken. WOW.. i'm speechless.. the outlook is shiny and i like it this way than sliding phones. It is lighter than N82 and N73 (that's what i felt, haven't compare the spec). The auto-rotation is very responsive. No problem with that. Haven't try the GPS,WIFI,3G speed and video out function. Can't wait to try those. =)

However...

Start with the CONS i felt with it ... not sure u guys got such problem or not... I come to realize that N82 responsed slower than N81 which i don't really understand why. With raw phone (without anything restored in) , it hangs for 2 times already. After come back home, restoring contacts,messages and put bout 100 songs in. Playing with this and that, it actually hanged one more time. Sound wise, it doesn't sound clear and quite soft compared to N73 and N81.

So guys, is it common to have such "special cases"? Any solutions to it?

Go to Maps->Settings->Network->Use Network-Select "Never" (yours most probably set to "When Needed")

Then observe the traffic light on bottom right of the screen when you're in the Maps, you should see it moving and try to receive signals out of the building, the signal gets better.

Or you can try go to Options->Map Options->Satellite Info-to check the signal strength..

Added on March 20, 2008, 12:28 pmI already use PC-QUICK FORMAT on the memory card and only 1GB is available to be formatted, the other 1 GB is locked in the memory card to avoid being formatted (more info needed bout this from you guys on how to repair the files inside) and i don't dare to format it using phone. Has anyone tried it before? Any better in solving the Phone Hang problem? Thanks.

**Note: i'm looking forward for the coming firmware like you guys..

You can read up the first page. I think keypad is okay for me.

Mine also got gaps but still can tolerate.

Same...mine is RIGHT also.. can't feel when pressing the button. But, functioning lor..

For me, N82 has replaced some digicam's quality. ( maybe I'm wrong coz' it is more on individual, but for me ..yes! ) I think i saved money to get a digicam with N82 i have now. Very satisfied.

Thanks. That was my best picture so far. I like how the phone reacts to Xenon Flash. Brilliant!

Though ppl find Xenon flash draws a lot of current. True, but it still happens to other available digicam, battery life remains a problem.

I spotted some differences even the version is the same (pls check yours)

1. The font style is different. Especially fonts for Standby mode( main screen) and the dialing numbers (it became bold and big ..even set to FONT:NORMAL). The Menu font is smaller.

2. Contacts Listing. Previously, the contacts list A->Z then only comes to number 1->so on (if u guys get what i mean)which just like N73. But after the reinstallation, the contact list shows those contacts which started with number 1- so on then only in alphabetical order.. Even i have tried with setting the Name Display ... the outcome is the same

I already upgraded to the same version as the one i have when i bought the phone. Funny thing is that when i first got the phone, it hangs pretty often. But, after i re-install it via online (same version also), a few significant changes especially to the fonts.. the phone really works pretty good.. i got an auto reboot like once in a month even i put a lot stuff inside (100+ images, 100+ music, 1200 contacts more..) It still working fine. My version is :

*added: Oh yeah, the speaker volume has improvement as well..louder and clearer... can compare to n73...

Anyone got re-install their version via online?
