If there is a shortage, dont buy now. It may be pricey now and u might get a faulty one sold by irresponsible sellers. patience.

Wait for the black one. IMHO when the black is out, the normal one will drop in price.

Just wait a few more weeks i suppose.

@snakevenom

MicoSD 8GB? where u bought? how much?

Have checked through N82 165-page user manual last night, I still not sure its photo/video capture tone can be switched off like Samsung set or not.

I think to wait for N82 Black...
*
All this time, I have tried to look for the setting but have not found it yet. it cant be turned off. maybe someone else found out a way.

Really happy with the phone but too bad the big mess on signing apps. No nokmote for me sad.gif .Hopefully the symbian developers can find a way to work around this. Else just have to use the basic settings only. cry.gif
*
There are earlier version of symbian programs that does not need signing. Can try those out first. U can even try java programs or java games. It does work well.

Hey, any of you N82 users get slight creaking sound when using the keypad. I feel like mine is coming from the piece of housing underneath the keypad. I get some slight creaking sound sometimes. sad.gif Mostly happens when i press the buttons on the edge like, the * button or # button. Or when i push the bottom part of the phone upwards. Just wanna know whether it's normal.
*
Creaking? I only have the sound of button pressing.

Haih this question pop up so many times in the thread sad.gif

A-GPS is combination GPS + GPRS <-- GPRS you have to pay. Normal GPS is free.
Nokia Maps is free for location/map, pay for directions.
Garmin MXT is free everything location, map & directions, but the software is not free (unless you *ahem* it, haha).

@NewKid >> The camera shutter sound, certain firmware region when the phone is on silent mode, there won't be camera shutter sound. My phone was like that, I don't remember the original firmware region though, I think it was EURO.

The auto rotate is instant. I dunno about the set u tried. But u need to get use to auto rotating it. There are certain condition that the phone must be in. As far as i tried. it must be totally horizontal and the movement must be 90 degrees or more. The feature maybe cool so u can watch mobie horizontally. but when u play games, and u r lying in bed, dont turn around. it will auto rotate. As cool as it is, i turn it off.

For your LiIon batteries, it will never over charge plus now all chargers are smart chargers cause the smart part is in most hp. It can reduce the charging current depending on the temperature of your battery. LiIon does not have memory effect. The lifetime is calculated by the life cycle. Meaning from dead to full charge to dead is 1 cycle. The trick is not to let your LiIon battery become totally flat.
