this phone still buggy.. whenevere u press the # button, this will happen. to solve this (for the time bing), press and hold menu button and go back to messages then it will be ok.

Hopefully NOKIA comes out wit a new firmware for n82 ASAP that solves this wink.gif

As described by dzi921 thoroughly on the first page and as discussed here previously, the phone is fine. The only thing is the Garmin software has incompatibility issue with the N82. I believe the firmware is as up to date as it can be base on Nokia's experienced with N95 and N95 8GB.

If you feel that u do not want to experience the problem mentioned, then dont install Garmin.

Hi, just want to check if anyone encounter any problem with the sync of music files in "Music Player"?

The prob I had is : When you add a song to the phone it will auto detect the Album, Artist and etc, but when I delete the song from the mem card using the "Nokia Music Manager", the Album, Artist info is still there.

I not sure if this is a known issue or only me is experiencing such prob.
*
I experienced the same thing. I suppose it is a problem with the pc suite. Just delete manually on the phone lah...... thumbup.gif

Hmm... shakehead.gif Even delete from the phone, the music category from previous music uploaded still there, example the Album, Artist name from previous song is there, but inside is empty. That is strange, how do you remove those category then?

Can the moderatoradd this solution to the first page for known issues?

Found a solution. tested it works, looks like it happened also with N95 8gb brows.gif reference

Firstly, connect your phone to a PC via USB > Choose Data Transfer (a.k.a. Mass Storage). Do not select PC Suite because you won't be able to browse protected folders in PC Suite mode > Open Windows Explorer on your PC.

In all the 3 folders below delete all the files Not the FOLDER:
1) \private\101FFC31 on the phone's folder.* There, you should be able to find the mpxv1.mpd (for MP3) and pcv5.mpd (for AUDIO PODCAST)
2) \private\101f8857\Cache
3) \private\101ffca9

Now refresh ur music library.

It depends. It is a phone. If u use it as a phoone, than the battery would last as long as the manufacturers specs. If u use all the feeature GSM+GPS+WiFi+MP3 player, definitely it would not last very long. I have tried using GSM+GPS+WiFi from full to 14% battery capacity is about 2-3 hrs usage.

Consider some laptops with wifi on can last barely 2 hrs.

Handheld GPS on the other hand, some particular models can last more than 5 hrs but with 4x AA enegizer batteries. If with normal AA 2 hours+++.

IMHO, So if u have GSM+GPS+WiFi on, 2-3 hrs is pretty good.

hopefully the black ed cover not glossy type one...later all finger print marks, i think will be even uglier than the silver one.
