err, in phone book entries, edit the entries --> Highlight on the info you want to copy --> Option --> Editing Option --> Copy.
On the new entries u want to paste --> Edit --> Add new details --> Option Editing Option --> Paste The # key can be used while texting, switch to dictionary and it will hightlight the word, copy it, press the # again to get out of the copy paste menu. But,there is a discussion on other forum, that once the copy/paste enabled on SMS, we need the phone to go on standby before it switch off the copy/paste function. Happened on specific region phone, sometimes the D-Pad disabled once u enable the copy/paste via the # button. Anyone face that? QUOTE(wztech @ Jan 6 2008, 07:11 AM) |

Yes, thats what i have seen, it is said that the incoming firmware update will fix that bug. But luckily i rarely used the # button copy paste function on the SMS editor.
Tested that again, there is other option to copy/paste message in SMS editor. Quiet complicated, i rather type the whole word instead. Try to follow this sequence Open text editor --> Type in message --> Press Option --> Editing Option --> Copy (now the abc on the top bar is shaded) --> Move cursor to the end or begining of the text that you would like to copy --> start --> move the "5 way scroll key" to copy the text --> Option --> Editing Option --> Copy QUOTE(Victor3010 @ Jan 6 2008, 12:26 PM) hmm...for me sometimes the SMS gt some bug when using the Copy and Paste function...i dunno how to explain the problem bt it seems to nt response to any alphabet keys u press once u copy something...(sometimes) QUOTE(ddww @ Jan 6 2008, 12:32 PM) yeah... very stupid of this indeed... you've to close and save the msg in draft and later reopen it again or go straight to standby menu and come back again... I checked the website, but the plastic cover not available for Nokia N82. I will join the bulk if its available
QUOTE(pigcat @ Jan 8 2008, 12:06 PM) I ordered it directly from the website, still haven't receive it though, quite a few weeks already... If you guys are in hurry can try express shipping but I think quite expensive also. $24.99 in included free parcel shipping but no insurance and no tracking. I just chipped mine, few minutes ago, drop at the side of my car seat, the recaro seat base has a protuding metal part for the base and the phone just drop and had a direct hit, painful just seeing the "titanium" coating chip off and show a black base. Anyone want to sand their casing into a black N82?

Mine works fine, maybe your internal battery?
QUOTE(chin_kh @ Jan 7 2008, 06:48 PM) i found an problem with the n82. Whenever I switch off & switch on the phone, i need to reset the date & time. Does this applicable to all of n82 users here? Is there any way to solve it? Yes, still feel the pain till now, but i guess it wont happened naturally (due to sweat) in 1 - 2 month. I think, instead of peeling/chip off, it will just wash out, not shinny or just has a small white dot coating it, happened to my 4 year old 3120 which has a silver/titanium color coating on the front bezzel. Keypad is not bad actually if you ignore the squeaking sound, may need sometimes to get used to it though, especially the relocation of the "green" and "red" button. But if you were using a Nokia 8850/8855 or Nokia N91 keypad and you find the dial key size and design is ok, you may not have problem with it.

The new firmware fixed the # key copy on the SMS editor, now you just press #, dont release it and use navigation to copy the text
