Hi All,

I have a old bravia LCD TV that does not come with HDMI port but instead a VGA port. I was wondering is there an adaptor I can buy to connect PS3 hmdi output to the LCD vga input.

I have seen a HDMI to DVI converter at lowyat but did not see a HDMI to VGA adaptor. Do you all think if I connect PS3 HDMI -> HDMI to DVI -> DVI to VGA adaptor -> LCD could work?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Sincerely,
BW

before you even start to look for a cable, check whether your old bravia LCD TV supports HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) or not. If no, you can forget about using the LCD TV with the ps3.

i'm pretty sure HDMI<->VGA won't work cos one is digital signal whereas the other is analog signal.

those adaptors you find on the market are DVI-A (analog) to VGA convertor where the signal is still analog.
