*
heh, better get scared now rather than later...when its too late. Just show you first, so that you guys remember to avoid any flooded areas.

U know la those car wash using those high pressure water.
*
if your hose is going upwards...the water shouldn't reach all the way into the engine mar.
anyway your hose high or low also have to becareful with flood. I kena that time it was really really bad...

lee has a good idea there. Leave a gap if possible to the air filter. Something like this pic tongue.gif

Black - CAI hose
Red - air box
Green - front bumper
blue - cut off this part

air doesn't need to be spoon-fed right into the air-box. Just use the CAI hose to redirect the air coming from the bumper to the air-box should be enough...although would be less effective. But definitely much safer this way...air will definitely go up, but water is too heavy to reach the air-box.

the gap no nit so big.. later useless d the CAI hose....
*
nvm wan, as long as it directs the air towards the air-box...I think should be sufficient.

QUOTE(FauxHawk @ Mar 1 2008, 01:37 AM)
yea, CAI hose, but my area never flood b4...but now everyday also rain  unsure.gif
*
same with my place...anyone heard of flood at the Federal highway? No rite? Suddenly that day got for some reason. Better be more careful these few days.

wa liddis the cai is useless lo. better punch some hole at the bottom of hose so water will drip out frm there
ur tt at klang wor right? so far le
*
I think its worse this way...where the water goes...the air will go as well...to the bottom of the car. Air is lighter than...erm, air tongue.gif so it will go upwards. Water cannot go upwards especially when you're driving slow. This method will still work since its not taking in hot air from the engine...I think tongue.gif

anyway...just visited the workshop. My engine now cry.gif

Look at the shiny piston heads tongue.gif Those are new...the piston arms are the only re-cond ones. Recond cost only 85 per piece but new ones over 200 per piece doh.gif

yesterday they encountered a problem with one of the piston arms. It was senget a little...so today they just sent to replace with another one. I saw the dispatch boy coming to take that senget piston arm to replace.

The post you entered in was too short. You must have at least 10 character(s) in your post before it will get posted.

Dunno yet. Just leave my car there. They will call me once they done.
Take around 2-3 hours.

what was the problem with your air cond in the first place? Not cold? I had the same problem with my car but when I sent to the mechanic...they couldn't find any problems.
