just calculated the cost of replacing the engine... engine - 600 labor - 300+ timing belt & bearing (need for new engine) - 300 JPJ registration - 300 It kinda adds up to the same amount as my repair bill...RM1.5k

QUOTE(shinjite @ Feb 29 2008, 10:58 AM) Yours is pretty screwed up badly.... yea...I have no idea how. They say its because I tried to start the engine after it stalled. ( I actually tried a FEWWW times ) anyway they're replacing almost everything in the car...including the water pump. From the looks of it...its still in good condition anybody wants to buy water pump?

QUOTE(Arkaine @ Feb 29 2008, 12:42 PM) So you just replaced the broken parts?? I thought this is a good chance to install new monster in the end it was a bit too risky...I don't have enough savings this month actually. Spent 1k on my dog's surgery...1.5k on a new fridge...and now this everything will be new...except the piston heads...and probably the arms. Those will be Japanese 2nd hand ones. At least that's what he told me... This post has been edited by Aeon_Clock: Feb 29 2008, 02:13 PM

Now recovering quite well see the photo of her hip before the surgery... @Azuma - yep, using same engine but replace the pistons, piston rings, camrod bearing etc. Basically inside engine all should be new. QUOTE(samsoong @ Feb 29 2008, 02:49 PM) buy steering wheel covers if not grippy. I have slightly sweaty hands and the material comes in handy at times. It doesn't have any foul smell even after 1.5 years and it protects the steering wheel from the sun...sometimes your steering wheel gets so darn hot, you don't wanna touch it rite?
