Anyway, the highlights I see are:
3000:1 contrast
178 degree viewing angle
8ms response (which is average)
117% color gamut (hmm... due to this I wonder if it's LED backlight).

It far too expensive due to the weak PPP of Malaysia.
It is just slightly more expensive than usual but still pretty reasonable for the US. Time for Malaysia to grow both economically and socially. |

QUOTE(jchong @ Dec 24 2007, 12:29 PM) Just saw on Dell's website today the new 3008 30" LCD. But the price is shocking!! What is the big deal? This 3008WFP has already been discussed in Widescreen Thread months ago. Welcome to 2007.Anyway, the highlights I see are: 3000:1 contrast 178 degree viewing angle 8ms response (which is average) 117% color gamut (hmm... due to this I wonder if it's LED backlight). |

Yeah, the price is far too much. However, knowing Dell the price will drop a lot in the next 6 months+

3007 and a 40 inch 1080p for the price of a 3008... you get 2 displays.. rather than one... still cold cathod backlit, improved colour maybe due to 10bit per colour panel... something only HDMI 1.3 or display port can handle?
