Hi, guy i plan to get a gc that budget RM450

i dont mind getting a 2nd hand

And i will only use XP not going Vista as my engeering software work only on XP.

did x1950xt is a good choise? got other good gc around that budget

if you can get X1950XT in Rm450 thats good, but isit your budget die at Rm450 only ? can add more to Rm550 or 600 buy HD3850 256MB

1950xt is good enough, maybe 8600GT also can.

y u guys always say add few more hundred and get this one that one?? budget is RM450 then we should recommend him somethings around RM450-500, if like that y dont u say add another RM2000 and get a 8800 ULTRA?? or add another RM1000 to get an intel dual core extreme edition? or add another 2 million and buy a ferrari

yah, its GT.

in my opinion , a 256bit 256mb card > 128bit 256mb card.
But since you run DX9 only, X1950XT is a good choice. at least better than 8600GT.

A used X1950P around Rm350 or X1950XT/XTX @ rm430-450 or 7900GS RM350, 7900GT RM 450 would be a good choice over 8600GT.

Believe me, i've done many readings around on X1950P VS 7900 VS 8600GT.

On stock X1950P will beat 7900GS and comes close to 7900GT. Once overclocked, X1950P is almost on par with 7900GS OCed

I've used X1950GT (not PRO!) , 8600GT and HD2600XT

i can say without a doubt that X1950GT is faster than both of those.

because of higher bandwidth transfer + 256bit.
So, X1950GT pawn 8600GT , 2600XT right.

oh another thing i wish to highlight,

just because a card is 256bit, that doesn't mean it's always faster than 128bit cards.

take for example the 6600GT when it first game out. it was 128bit only, however it was faster than many other 256bit cards around that time.

hmm...
need to compare architecture as well.
