QUOTE(Soulsareworthless @ May 5 2009, 10:53 PM) BToto to raise stake in PGPIKUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd (BToto) plans to increase its stake by another 6.81% in Prime Gaming Philippines, Inc (PGPI) for RM32.24mil cash. BToto said yesterday its unit Berjaya Sports Toto (Cayman) Ltd had entered into a share sale agreement with Ferrystar Ltd for the proposed acquisition of 60.7 million shares in PGPI. Currently, BToto and its unit Berjaya Lottery Management (HK) Ltd hold 9.12% and 72.33% equity interest in PGPI respectively. On completion of the proposed acquisition, BToto group’s equity interest in PGPI will increase to 88.26% from 81.45% at present, while Ferrystar will continue to hold the balance. What's the impact of this ? Anyone know anything about Prime Gaming Philipines ? I hope its not a related party transaction like what Resort had.

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 16 2009, 09:55 AM) They can't, sustainability dividend is around or average 50-80 cents based on their EPS. That's why they have interim + final dividend = 50 cents consistently. That's why company stated the term "special" dividend. Still it is a steady dividend counter based on the low point or sustainability dividend of 50 cents which yield about 5%. Noticed that Panasonic Japan reported US4Billion loss this year. Would this have any impact to Panamy ?

QUOTE(korean_girlsclub @ Dec 29 2009, 09:48 AM) Dont sell B.Toto because Toto has paid out 2nd & 3rd quater in advance. because of Berjaya Land project in Vietnam and Vincent Tan needs money too for Friendster ..hahahha Dont sell because VT is a tricky old goat & will keep BJTOTO price/dividend payout high for his devious inter-company schemes. QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Jan 2 2010, 09:37 AM) But the milk has just been suck by VT until KOSONG already. Have to wait for quite sometimes for the milk to be reproduced. Have to take a gamble that for the next quarter, the milk will be replaced already. Hopefully, VT has heard the story about the goose that lay the golden egg. The moral is that a dead cow gives no milk

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 26 2010, 12:49 PM) My experience once, the div cheque didn't arrive after payment date passed 3 weeks or so. Give them a call, being asked to write or fax over the details, then after few working days, receive a call from them, they confirm the cheque is returned to them due to delivery issue, verifying with me about details again, then resend, after few days, received. My opinion, this kind of issue, I don't think need to 'speak to the boss'. May be some new staff don't know the procedure. Jusy my view. I think KLSE should implement fast on direct bank in dividend which has been proposed, make thing easier to all parties. This is schedule to be at the end of 2010, if not mistaken. Yes . I believe the technology is already there instead of archaic paper based cheque. The overall, efficiency and overhead costs should be minimized. Hopefully, the savings should be passed onto the customers in the long term.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 27 2010, 04:09 PM) Those are in the form of special dividend, can be kind of capital repayment or distributing previous accumulated unpaid profit or due to extra-ordinary gain in asset disposal etc, which is not sustainable in the long run, that's why we see although dividend yield is 20-30%, share price doesn't react to lower down the dividend yield. As normal market place, it is very difficult to find a stock that has >10% sustainable yield, because if company actually can give that kind of yield, then share price will go up, which lower down the yield, as everyone will chase to buy the stock already. Any realistic expectation from the dividend yield is come from annual earning aka EPS from operational business. We should have a top ten list for consistent DY, but as you mentioned, it becomes a fool errand to track because each time DY goes up, share price goes up. So our list will always be inaccurate & dynamic. Note: Attached for a sharing is a comparison that I did on the high div counter just to see the difference a few months made. QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 3 2010, 06:48 PM) 21. What if my CDS account is held in the name of a nominee? A. If your CDS account is held in the name of a nominee, the depositor entitled to provide the bank account information for eDividend will be the nominee. Thanks Obviously, I had failed my speed reading class
