from the posts i read, most users here either use bits on wheels or transmission. so which one is faster, better, takes less resources? if there's a better one, please mention..

I previously used Azurues. It's quite heavy on resources but the it has a lot of functions. It can selective download, do DHT, and run encryption.

Thanks to Tmnet, bittorrent is pretty dead right now...

azureus kinda eats too much resources.. i tried it b4 on windows, its slow too, i previously used bitcomet on windows

transmission if u want the whole mac look thingy, damn slow though

azureus if you want speed (encryption) - myself getting an average of 80kbps

usenext - if you're are willing to spend a bit (really fast, all the time)

I heard some time back that they are developing uTorrent for Mac. It's been a while and there is still no news....

bloody bits on wheels.. crashed unexpectedly, when i reorder the arrangement.. tried dling again but its still crashing..

I use xtorrent. U should try that too.

well i been using many torrent client when i step in to mac world. i use bitcomet with windows xp last time. in mac i use azureus, transsimission, bit on wheel and xtorrent as well. actually i got something to share. transsimission use to be light but sometimes i use it to download my torrent, but end up with no seed, when i open the same torrent with azureus the download starts just in that time. ????? bit on wheel i just tried a few times, it is light also but i didn't use it. ermm about xtorrent u need to pay for it. but i not sure do it have any crack or serial code. yeah i ever heard that utorrent will be in mac soon. well if that launch i will try that out as well.

If u want sth simple , use transmisssion .
or even simplier - Tomato .

If u want more functionality , use Azureus.

Try them out & choose 1 that u prefer. It really boils down to own personal perference.

yes i agree with u. but guys remember Azureus is an heavy application.

hmm, only Azureus support encryption,right? (beside Deluge, which is a little bit hard to setup)

i used Azureus so far the speed is ok to me. Sometimes need to find some song i used limewire

But I think that is not free, right ? The free one only limit max 10kbs download.

However, none of the Mac BT client I tried manage to bypass Streamyx throttle policy. I am using Deluge for Linux in VMWare.

You guys will need to subscribe to a VPN or Seedbox service. BT is officially dead with Streamyx.

That's great. So you can get good speeds on Streamyx? Does it happen only for Deluge or all BT clients?

limewire also can download torrents.. but...does it really works? coz.. i download one torrent that has thousands seeders.. but..till now.. not downloading... weird maa

can u show us how you run the MacPorts ? as i know if to run deluge i need to configure MacPorts but i stuck at there.

Or, you can install deluge (Freeware) and stop paying those people who run VPN service here.

BT is not dead with streamyx if you are downloading from peers/seeders from within Malaysia.

Deluge! A way to leech. As long as you portforward correctly. Things should be downloaded pretty fast.

ED2K is pretty good too. Though i heard people said it's slow and things like that. I bet they dont really know how to set up.

I got mine download at my line max speed, 90% of the time.

I am using emule and deluge.

well anyway i'm noob i had try to google our how to install deluge with macports but no luck not working. can u post ur step how to do that? yeah i know about portforwarding.

I wrote there emule. means not leopard. sorry dude. i have my desktop that have windows that runs emule and deluge together.

Not my mbp. Though i know this is a apple thread.
