With their pointy cutaways, I think RG looks a bit extreme to play pop, blues and jazz. If you like jazz, and you want Ibanezes, you can try the Ibanez Artcores, or the Artist series. That's personal preference. smile.gif

Otherwise, strats or teles will do fine.

But if you really have to choose between ur 3 choices for pop, jazz, blues.. I'll go for the SA120 .

i dont think ibanez is built with a tone meant for pop jazz and blues...
same as other posts, tele/strat, or the SA120

If you're not into metal so much, try out the S Series instead. I find the tone warmer for rock and the RG is just a little bit more metal........

The SA is quite a versatile guitar, i'm using one, and it can play from metal to rock to some nice clean passages..

plus the guitar is very thin and light, so no burden no your shoulders when you're playing for an extended period

asura86, which SA are you using? I realize the nowadays punya SA series like the SA120 is so much heavier/neck thicker .. Than the older and discontinued SA's.

Added on December 24, 2007, 12:24 pmHehehe u 7-string people, dont la poison the guy.. Later he really buy a 7 string for his pop/blues/jazz journey... Then unknowingly get pulled to the dark side and play some other genre with his 7-string instead.. laugh.gif
