i checked my system profile only realised that macbooks are installed with motion sensor for the hard-disc .
unlike IBM and TOSHIBA which make it part of the marketing of their product line up .
i dont even know thre is motion sensor on macbook at all .

Its been around since 2005 on the Powerbooks. Here are some interesting apps using the motion sensors.

there is a software, which uses the motion sensor to swtich between virtual desktops.
Google for it. the last time i used it. I remembered to only set the sensitivity to around 30%.
It doesnt really needs you to smack it. in fact, when i put my left wrist of my mac. the thing shifts.

It doesnt take very long before i deleted it.

It took me 5 mins to look at the code, 3 mins to test it before i deleted it

if they re-patch iAlert, its a really innovative software to consider. Just for the fun of it

hey guys, does the smackbook only work with macbook pro? cos i tried setting it using the video at youtube as guide edi and all i see is "how to set up smackbook "PRO"..

"edited" when i tried this on the terminal.. this shows up

the smackbook works well with the virtualdesktop .
but it wont work will with the desktop manager on blackbook .

those warning messages is not a problem with smackbook, but more to do with locale issues in the default perl installation on leopard. to fix that, put the following line into your ~/.profile

export LC_ALL="C"

Was damn annoying for me too, having all those warning messages appear on leopard, considering how often I work with perl.
