OOOO.... the 'bc' was worded too short. Should type in backward compatibility ma! Bro, I suggest you to get a PS2. Playing DVD games on PS3 will strain the lens. Just my opinion though.

backwards compatible. i think its freaking rare di. and if thy stil hv it. i think thy will mark up the price. unless u willin to fork out on exp units thn possible.. one way to find it wouldbe to look for those con shops or those who hike up their prices so freaking high.. tat no one will buy it..

try places no one goes like sunway or jaya section 14 or some remote areas.. bound to find one.

Added on December 21, 2007, 5:26 pmeh why does playin ps2 games on ps3 stress the lense?!?! i think it uses a diff lens right!? cause one is red another is blue laser wor.. no? lol. cause i rememeber reading Samsungs multiple disc reader got a few lenses or somthin.. for both HD-dvd and BD and DVD.

reading frm a dvd is like reading frm a BD ma? no.. ?

I was told that the PS3 has only 1 lense. CD,DVD, Blueray playback uses the same lense.

best bet is to just have one ps3 for ps3 and BD and one ps2 for original and ahem games and whatever dvds.lol

Well you guys are right.But since I never owned a ps2 and my budget is there,might as well buy the complete package like the 60gb version.

I read that PS3 60GB got a lot of issue with wireless and other stuff. And they fix it with PS3 80GB. And some said emulation with Cell processor make the game look better. (not substantiated). But I think better buy 40gb then buy yourself 160GB laptop hardisk and put into it

everyone is selling 40gb... they think coz its white now that the whole world is gona wana get 40gb, so they stock all 40gb... but not me! i got the 80gb version...

Bought in Sungai Wang... RM2k... Got 80GB, 2 SIXAXIS and 1 game... Didnt get dual shock coz it was not out yet when i got mine... came out just a few days after i got my system... wasted...

Well,hearing from the positive side of the 40gb version,I just went to buy one.And now I'm Lovin It!!! .
