Having trouble setting up MMS and now have messed up my 3G/GPRS settings too. Help

it was working on my older phone. I've tried reactivating GPRS/3G/MMS and got all the config stuff but now nothing works.

Am loving the phone, my first SE phone so was fidgeting with it all day to get used to the interface.

Got a question. Sometimes in the top left - near the signal icon, there is another icon that looks like a seashell. It also warps the signal icon and turns it yellow/beige. What is it?

My data charges lately have gone up and according to the data counter in the phone have only used 2MB but in the end it turns out like 12MB.
