ok..like this,the use if setool lite is to apply patch for customizing ur system like u want to remove the lock,want to extend ur sms ringtone..n the use of XS++ is to flash ur main and fs and also to change ur driver like camdriver or display driver,what u see when u click at FSX tab,thats what u can modify in XS++..but to change the coding for ur system,u must use setool lite or FAR mnager..in ur case,if u want to change the menu,u can use XS++,more easier than other application..

settool is much easier (apply/revert) than FAR as FAR using "dos mode"

can settool do all xs++ do?

erm...not sure, i use settool just for vkp patch

IMO, settool full (paid version) is far advanced than XS. But as long the software serve our purpose its good enough.

Hi..I'm new user of k810...
my firmware version is CXC1250904 R6BC002 070607...is that new or not?.....please help me if it's not the latest...I want to update it...

R6BC002 is good enough + stable version. My advise, if u feel the current FW no bugs/problems, just stay tune. Since some forumer said SEUS will upgrade the CID 52 to 53 which is hardly for future self mod

Yup the current version is stable...but I heard that we can extend the message ringtone and change the icon menu if we got the latest...true or not?...

Yes. be careful, different FW version need the correct vkp version. (eg, R6BC, can't use R8 vkp)

em still can be upgrade to R8Bxxxxx i just did..and end up with configuration error...just missing custom pack which i don't know what it is...

i wonder can i change back to firmware R6BC002 070607...and the error will be gone

but FAR is much more faster than setool lite..but its not user friendly la..

AFAIK from other forum and experts out there said that XS++ didn't support patching the vkp file..



if don't have any bug in ur current FW,then better not upgrade it,but the most stable one is R8BA024

yup!u can use vkp patch for ur FW version,but R6 dont have much patch rather than R8 unless u can port the patch
